Who is The Shameless Plug?

You ever stare at an object so long you swear you can move it with your mind? You're right, me neither. But...one day in the winter of 2021, I was sitting in my car staring at the box-part of an iPhone 10 plug, and an idea dastardly made its way into my creative mind. It wasn't quite telekinesis, no, not even close, instead, it manifested into the handsome character you are seeing at the top of this page.
Since it was a plug I was staring at and it was shameless in the way it invaded my mind, the title of the story was easy. The name of the main character and what the story would be about took a bit more to be developed. And this is why we are here. Me? I'm here to tell you who The Shameless Plug is and how he came to be, and I hope you are still here waiting to read about who and how.
Let's get started, shall we?
TIME TO DESIGN THE PLUG
Whenever I come up with a story idea, I go ahead and design the character. I'm not the best artist, but I can do enough to give the artist I'm working with enough to get them started as far as the character's features, powers, etc. The image on the right is an example of that.

I reached out to an amazing artist and even more amazing person in Joe Holley, who took on the task to turn what I had sent him into the image you see below. His cartoony style is exactly what I was looking for and I was ecstatic to receive the sketches he sent me!
I loved the way the Joe made the character his own with the way he designed the face! It was better than I had imagined.
Once the design from Joe was approved by me and he inked it, I employed the coloring prowess of another incredible artist and friend, Mr. Victor Claudio, who killed it with these vibrant colors!
After the colors, I felt the character needed one little tweak (pun intended), and so I shrunk him! Here he is in his final iteration.
Once I hired the talented, Joseph Olesco, I asked him to do a rendention of the character as it would appear within the pages of the book. When I received this image, I knew I had made the right decision!
The evolution of the character design was over and now we were ready to go into the actual script and pages of the book! Thanks to the keen eye of LA Cunningham, I supplied a script to Joseph that made sense! Big shout out to her for her outstanding editing skills. Please give everyone involved in the book a follow and be in awe of their talents! I know I am.
The book is scheduled for release this fall. We are working on the first chapter of what will become a graphic novel in 2026! In October, however, you will jump right into the story with the introduction of the rest of the cast!
